Bombardier announces 500th order for the Q400 and 500th commitment for C Series

Canadian airframer Bombardier announced two milestones today morning at Farnborough. The first was that Thai carrier Nok Air has converted two of their four options for Q400 turboprops to firm orders bringing the total number of Q400’s sold to 501 aircraft. Airbus crossed an important milestone for its A320neo single-aisle family, 3,000 orders. Boeing legally delivers first 787-9 Dreamliner to Air New Zealand

Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines has placed an additional order for 15 Airbus A321ceo (current engine option) aircraft starting for delivery in 2018. With its merger with Northwest, Delta inherited a fleet of Airbus aircraft (126 A320 narrow-body family and 32 A330 wide-body). The Indian Navy received the fourth of its ordered eight Boeing P-8I maritime patrol and anti-submarine warfare aircraft. National carrier Air Canada received the first of its 37 ordered Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners, C-GPHQ. The delivery flight from Paine Field, was met at Toronto’s Pearson airport with the traditional water cannon salute. Kenya Airways takes delivery of first 787 Dreamliner

Kenya Airways has taken delivery of their first 787 Dreamliner. The airplane registered 5Y-KZA departed Paine Field in Everett, Washington, USA for a 7,800 nautical mile (14,456 km) non-stop flight to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at Nairobi, the hub of the airline.
