Airbus announces orders for A320 family and A330neo

European airframer Airbus has announced a series of orders today at Farnborough. The first order from SMBC Aviation Capital for 110 Airbus A320neo and five A320ceo. This order is the largest single firm order by a leasing company.

Singapore based leasing company, BOC Aviation has ordered an additional 43 A320 family aircraft. The order is for 36 A320ceo family aircraft across the A320 and A321 variants and for seven A320neo family aircraft.

CIT Group has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to order 15 A330-900neo aircraft and five A321ceo aircraft.

Dublin based Avolon has signed a MOU for a commitment for 15 A330neo aircraft.

Air Asia X has signed an MOU to order 50 A330neo aircraft. Airbus also announced that the airline will be the launch customer for the new aircraft.
