PARIS 2019: Virgin signs order for up to 20 A330neos

UK based, Virgin Atlantic signed an order for up to 20 Airbus A330-900s. The carrier has placed a firm order for eight aircraft and has options for six more. The airline will also take six additional A330-900s on lease from Air Lease Corporation.

Virgin will take delivery of the aircraft from 2021 and will use them to replace their existing A330ceo fleet.

All Airbus A330neos are powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines.

Virgin Atlantic also has 12 Airbus A350-1000s on order, the first of which will be delivered this year.
