Photos: Qatar Airways’ first A350-900 XWB progressing to year end delivery

Airbus A350-900 MSN006 (manufacturer’s serial number), the first aircraft that will be delivered to launch customer Qatar Airways is proceeding through its paces for delivery by the year end. Airbus has received the EASA type certification for the A350-900 as we reported yesterday.

The aircraft which will be registered A7-ALA when it enters service is seen here exiting the paint shop.

MSN6 has exited the final assembly line on September 29th and has been moved to the flight line at Toulouse Blagnac airport, in preparation for trials and testing prior to customer acceptance and delivery which is expected later this year. You can see pictures here and here. Qatar Airways’s other A350s MSN 007 through MSN 013 are also in the final assembly line and will be delivered in 2015.
