Etihad to begin third daily from Bangalore

Middle-eastern carrier Etihad Airways will launch a third daily flight from Bangalore to Abu Dhabi from 26 March 2017. The new flight will allow the airline to offer passengers from Bangalore more connections to Europe and North America via it’s Abu Dhabi hub. The flight will be operated using a two class Airbus A321.

The new flight’s late night departure from Abu Dhabi, and early morning service from Bengaluru will provide additional connectivity to Doha, Jeddah, London, Dublin, New York, Dallas and other routes. Etihad’s partner carrier Jet Airways also operates a daily flight between the two cities on it’s 737-800, the flight carry’s Etihad codeshares and connect to Etihad flights in Abu Dhabi.

Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways Chief Executive Officer

“Our expanded services between Abu Dhabi and Bengaluru are in line with Etihad Airways’ strategy to offer greater travel options when aircraft availability and market conditions permit.
“The extra flights to Bengaluru will cater to the strong demand between both cities, and bring closer our global network to and from Bengaluru over our Abu Dhabi hub.”
