Boeing delivers 400th 737-800 to Ryanair

American airframer Boeing and Dublin-based low-cost carrier Ryanair celebrated the delivery of airline’s 400th NG 787-800. Taking its first delivery in 1994, Ryanair now operates the largest 787-800 fleet in the world and is the largest European Boeing operator with over 1,800 daily flights carrying 106 million passengers annually to more than 30 countries.

The airline has over 130 unfilled orders for 737-800s and is also the launch customer for Boeing’s 737 MAX 200. The commitment was made in 2014 with an order of 100 aircraft. While most of the single-aisle markets operate with 160 seats, the newest member of 737 MAX can accommodate up to 200 seats, increasing revenue potential and fuel efficiency per seat.
