PARIS 2019: Boeing opens show with order for 10 freighters

American airframer Boeing has opened its 2019 Paris Air Show with a small order for 10 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighters (BCF) for GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS). The lessor converted it’s options to firm orders and also added additional options for 15 more aircraft.

GECAS has 65 737-800 BCFs on order including options. Boeing has delivered 14 737-800 BCFs till date with a single delivery to GECAS.

Boeing has come into this show embattled by the 737 MAX groundings and has also confirmed that it will not announce any decision on the New Mid-Market Aircraft (NMA) at the show.
