Air France to take delivery of 777th Boeing 777

On Friday 10 April 2009, Air France will take delivery of the 777th Boeing 777 aircraft manufactured by Boeing, and the 54th Boeing 777 in the Air France fleet.

The new aircraft will be registered F-GZND and will be the first aircraft in the fleet to sport the new livery of Air France.

For fellow spotters, the aircraft is expected to land at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport on Saturday 11 April 2009, at 06:45 local.

A special congratulations to Boeing for achieving this phenomenal feat in less than 15 years since the 777’s introduction.

On this historic occasion, Air France will be broadcasting five programmes telling the story of the delivery of this aircraft on its corporate website

  • Thursday 9 April:: ”The final touches”
  • Friday 10 April: ”Air France takes possession of the aircraft”
  • Saturday 11 April: ”Boeing hands over the keys of the aircraft”
  • Sunday12 April: ”Air France’s new colours at Paris-Charles de Gaulle”
  • Monday 13 April: ” Air France’s 54th Boeing 777 is put into operation”
