India registered a growth of 5.31% in domestic air passenger traffic for the eight months of 2014 ending August compared to the same period last year. Indian airlines carried 43.325 million passengers from January to August 2014 compared to 41.140 in the eight months of 2013. Boeing lowers 747-8 production rate as demand slows

IndiGo pips Jet to become largest domestic carrier in India. Mumbai airport most punctual.

Carrying 1.226 million passengers in July 2012, Gurgaon based IndiGo pipped the Jet Airways’ group (Jet Airways and JetKonnect) at 1.207 million, to become the largest domestic carrier in India.
