Low cost carrier IndiGo has grown it’s fleet to a 125 Airbus A320’s. The airline took delivery of it’s 125 aircraft VT-ITH in it’s 125th month of operation. Qatar airways to order upto 60 Boeing 737 MAX

US airframer Boeing has announced a $18.6 billion order from middle-eastern carrier Qatar Airways. The order includes a order for 30 787-9 Dreamliners and 10 777-300ERs, valued at $11.7 billion at current list prices and most importantly a Letter of Intent for up to 60 737 MAX 8s, valued at $6.9 billion at current list prices. India’s largest domestic airline IndiGo crossed the historic milestone of a 100 aircraft fleet size and joined Air India and Jet Airways in the ‘century club’. The low fare carrier which operates an all Airbus A320 fleet, inducted VT-IDR, its 116th A320 received, to reach the 100 aircraft fleet size. Metrojet Airbus A321 crashes over the Sinai #7K9268

A Airbus A321 of Russian carrier MetroJet (Kogalymavia) crashed about 25 minutes after takeoff over the Sinai peninsula in Egypt. The aircraft was performing flight 7K 9268 from Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg. The aircraft was carrying 224 people including 17 children and seven crew. Mexican Ultra-low-cost carrier VivaAerobus has taken delivery of its first new A320 following the aircraft. The A320 is the first to be delivered from an order for 52 aircraft (12 A320ceo and 40 A320neo). Vistara begins operations from Hyderabad

Today, Vistara (Tata-SIA) operated it’s first flight from Hyderabad to New Delhi. The airline started its operations on 9th January 2015 from Delhi to Mumbai.
