AirAsia to add flights to Imphal and Pune

Low cost carrier AirAsia India will begin operating a new route from New Delhi to Imphal beginning 7th April 2018. The airline will also new flights between Bangalore and Pune and Bangalore and Delhi. The airline has also inducted it’s 17th Airbus A320 into it’s fleet with which it will operate these flights.

CFM adds LEAP-1A/B capability to Hyderabad training center

Engine manufacturer CFM has expanded the capability of it’s Hyderabad training center to include both the LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines. The training center provides courses in line maintenance and borescope inspection. The LEAP-1A entered service in India with Air India in February 2017. American equity firm Indigo Partners’ has placed an additional order for 430 A320neo family aircraft for it’s four portfolio airlines. US airframer Boeing has announced a $18.6 billion order from middle-eastern carrier Qatar Airways. A Airbus A321 of Russian carrier MetroJet (Kogalymavia) crashed about 25 minutes after takeoff over the Sinai peninsula in Egypt. The aircraft was performing flight 7K 9268 from Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg. The aircraft was carrying 224 people including 17 children and seven crew.
