Vistara becomes first Indian airline to offer in-flight internet

Vistara (Tata-SIA Airlines) will become the first Indian airline to offer passengers in-flight internet connectivity. The service will be available on flights operated by the airline’s Boeing 787s between Delhi and London.

The airline is offering the in-flight internet free of charge to all passengers as an introductary offer. Vistara has said that it will use the introductary free period to “gather information on system functionality and feedback on the overall customer experience to further fine-tune the service.”

The rates for the internet services post the introductary period have not yet been announced. Vistara also plans to start offering in-flight internet on its A321neos shortly.
