PARIS 2019: KLM to purchase 35 Embraer E195-E2s

KLM Cityhopper has announced its intention to purchase 35 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft at the Paris Air Show today. The deal which will be finalised after the show will incude 15 firm orders and options for 20 more aircraft.

The E2 would be a welcome addition to the KLM fleet, giving us greater capacity flexibility and help to manage down costs. In addition, the environmentally friendly E195-E2 also supports our sustainability goals with lower levels of noise and emissions.”

KLM Cityhopper operates an all Embraer fleet and is Europe’s biggest E-Jet operator with 49 aircraft. The airline has 32 E190s and 17 E175s.

Embraer is aggressively marketing the re-engined E195-E2 at the Paris Air Show and is displaying the aircraft in a striking special livery dubbed “The Profit Hunter”.
