Vistara introduces paid priority services for economy passengers

Full service carrier Vistara has introduced a fee based service called #VistaraPriority. For a fee of Rs. 500 an economy passenger will be able to check-in at the premium economy counter, have their bags tagged as priority, and get priority boarding along with premium economy passengers.

The service can be booked in advance with a 10% discount while booking a ticket or can be added to the booking online. The service can also be booked at the airline’s airport ticket offices.

With designated check in and priority boarding being two major of the unique selling points for the airline’s premium economy product, it will be interesting to see if the airline introduces new features to differentiate it’s premium economy product.

Priority handling remains complimentary for all Business Class, Premium Economy, Club Vistara Platinum and Gold members and Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer PPS and Gold members.
