Air Canada begins non-stop service to Delhi

Canadian flag carrier, Air Canada begun it’s new non-stop service from Toronto to Delhi today. The new route is the only non-stop between Canada and the Indian subcontinent and will be operated by the airline’s new Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The inaugural flight was operated by G-FNOG which the airline’s newest Dreamliner.

The service will begin with four times a week, before becoming a daily in 2016. Air Canada has configured it’s 787’s in a three class configuration with a business, premium economy and economy class.

The airline should be able to provide it’s passengers connections to most cities in India by leveraging the domestic network from the hub of it’s fellow star alliance member Air India.

    I’m skeptical about connections. Try on AC’s website for BOM for example. AC still pushing connections at EWR with UA, LHR with Jet or FRA with LH. Connections with DEL ranking lower on the list or not showing up at all. And when it does give you connection, it’s overnight. AC has scheduled this flight horribly.

    Just as well. Who wants to spend 14 hrs on a 17″ wide seat with 31″ pitch?
