Courtesy fellow spotter a380spotter we have a picture of the newest Airbus A320-232 due to join the fleet of value carrier IndiGo Airlines

MSN3943 currently test registered as F-WWDT is expected to be registered as VT-INZ when she joins the IndiGo fleet by the end of June; and will be the 21st A320 in the fleet. IndiGo will take a total of ten A320s by end 2010. Four this year and six next year.

A little birdie told me the next series being considered is VT-IGx. I think they should also consider VT-IFx since IndiGo’s radio call sign is “iFly”.

For your viewing pleasure here are two pictures of VT-INY IndiGo’s 20th and latest A320 which was delivered on 22 April 2009.

Compare this slow and deliberate yet steady expansion to the massive capacity cutbacks, defaults, and deferrals of the two private full service carriers — Kingfisher Airlines and Jet Airways.
