The national carrier of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways has unveiled its new lounge for its premium first and business class passengers in the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) at Los Angeles (LAX) airport.

The 4,400 square feet lounge is located ‘airside’ i.e. after security is may be accessed by Etihad first and business class passengers, Platinum, Gold and Silver élite members of the Etihad Guest frequent flying program, and equivalent Platinum and Gold level elites of Etihad Airways Partner (EAP) airlines like India’s Jet Airways. The lounge features luxurious seating, an à la carte and buffet dining area, bar, TV area, shower facilities, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, multi-zone electrical and USB power outlets, and a selection of international magazines and daily newspapers. A separate VIP area can also be made available when required.

The dining menus draw inspiration from California and the Middle East. The bar features 75 premium spirits, champagne and aperitifs along with a bespoke cocktail and mocktail menu developed by London-based Fluid Movement. The signature cocktail drink is the Los Angeles, inspired by the city’s strong Latin influences and made with Tequila and homemade rice milk, spiced and enriched with cocoa nib and chili liqueur, finished off with a spiced, cotton candy highball, made using the lounge’s own cotton candy machine.
